I grew up in an ordinary family in the 1980s. My father was the sole breadwinner, while my mother stayed home to care for the four of us. Life was not easy financially—I still remember that our family didn’t own our first car until I was fourteen. Despite our limited means, my parents were determined to give us the best education and unconditional love they could.
Perhaps because I loved learning from a young age, my mother was willing to sacrifice and save so she could buy me an electronic dictionary, even when money was tight. My father enrolled me in a Chinese independent high school, despite the tuition fees, because he believed education would create a better future for me. Their unwavering commitment to education enabled me to become the first university graduate in my family. Later, I was awarded a scholarship to pursue my studies at National Chengchi University in Taiwan. Leaving home alone at eighteen to study abroad was the first time I truly understood that the unconditional love of my parents was life’s greatest source of strength. The love and companionship I had once taken for granted became the foundation that carried me through life’s challenges.
Life, however, was not always smooth. I got married at twenty-nine and divorced at thirty-seven. After the divorce, it took me six months to gather the courage to tell my family. Many people assumed it was the lowest point of my life. Looking back, however, I see it as a rebirth. That chapter forced me to rediscover who I was and taught me that a woman’s worth should never be defined by her marital status, job title, or the opinions of others. Instead, it is defined by her inner convictions, her commitment to continuous growth, and her courage to rise again after every setback.
From that moment on, I dedicated myself to learning—leadership, ICF coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and eventually an Executive MBA. I believe personal growth is not about proving we are better than others, but about becoming better equipped to serve others.
Today, I am devoted to early childhood education while also championing women’s growth and development. My mission is to give children the best possible start in life and to empower women at every stage of their journey to rediscover their worth, embrace their potential, and live authentically.
As I reflect on my journey, I have come to believe that no experience is ever wasted. The education my parents gave me changed the course of my life. My hardships taught me resilience, self-acceptance, and courage. Together, these experiences have become the foundation of my purpose—to serve and uplift others.
If there is one message I hope my story leaves with every woman, it is this: no matter where you are in life, never stop learning and never stop believing in yourself. Every setback can become the beginning of a new transformation, and every woman who chooses to keep growing has the power to become a light in someone else’s life.
