《What I Want to Build Is More Than Just F&B》
Why did I choose the food and beverage industry? Because I believe that food is a language that conveys joy. Sometimes, a simple meal prepared with care is enough to make someone feel satisfied and comforted. What we create is not merely food; we are creating a sense of warmth in everyday life. It was with this belief that my husband and I founded Max Hope. We are not simply operating F&B businesses — we hope to build a food brand platform that truly belongs in people’s everyday lives.
The value of a brand is not measured by how many outlets it has, but by whether it can establish a system that is sustainable, scalable, and capable of long-term growth. Our vision is to build a portfolio of brands, transforming different everyday food concepts through clear brand positioning, standardised operating models, and consistent quality into brands that can accompany consumers in their daily lives, one after another. Rather than chasing short-lived trends, we want to focus on building food brands that can remain part of people’s lives for many years.
Over the years of entrepreneurship, I have certainly experienced setbacks, pressure, and moments of uncertainty. Sometimes plans could not keep up with changes; sometimes, despite working extremely hard, results did not appear immediately. But I gradually learned not to magnify these challenges or allow them to disrupt the direction I wanted to pursue. I have always believed that everything that happens is not meant to defeat me, but to help me grow. Every difficulty teaches me to face problems with greater maturity, and every failure gives me greater clarity about the next step. Rather than remaining trapped in emotion, I choose to turn experience into nourishment and continue moving forward.
Even today, I still welcome every morning with enthusiasm. Although I am busy, I live each day with a sense of fulfilment and joy. I often tell myself, “Today, I am a little closer to my dream than I was yesterday.” What makes me even happier is that my husband and I share the same pace and direction. We discuss ideas together, work hard together, and face challenges side by side. When two people move towards the same dream, the strength found in that companionship becomes more precious than success itself.
Looking ahead, I hope Max Hope will become more than just an F&B brand. I want it to become a platform where more people can share opportunities, growth, and joy. A meal can warm one person; a brand can bring a group of people together; and an idea built with warmth and purpose can inspire even more people to go further together.
