I Wasn’t Born Strong — I Became Strong Because I Had People to Protect
When I was younger, I was a carefree girl who loved having fun. I enjoyed dressing up, looking beautiful, and never placed much emphasis on academics. Back then, I never imagined that one day I would completely transform my life because of responsibility.
I have always loved my parents deeply. I’ve always believed that the time we have with our parents is much shorter than we realize. No matter how busy life becomes, I always make time to care for them and show them my love.
I got married at the age of 19. Looking back, I would tell my younger self this: If possible, gain more knowledge and learn to be independent earlier. Because life’s greatest challenges often arrive when we are least prepared.
I worked as a hairstylist for seven years and later as a beautician for another five years. During those years, I earned a stable income with my own hands. However, I eventually realized that my career was limited by time—if I wasn’t personally serving clients, I wasn’t earning an income.
Later, my marriage came to an end.
What frightened me most was not how others would judge me. It was knowing that I still had five daughters and my aging parents depending on me.
I simply could not afford to fall apart.
I knew that if I stopped moving forward, my entire family would lose the support they relied on.
That realization pushed me to search for a new direction. I kept asking myself: Is there a business I can build for the long term without being completely tied to my working hours?
In June 2025, I founded a home-style postpartum care centre in Pahang.
At that time, I wasn’t dreaming of great success. My only hope was to build a stable source of income so I could provide a better life for my family.
I poured all the hardships I had experienced into this business because I understood that what a mother needs after giving birth is not just physical care, but genuine understanding and compassion.
That is why I am committed to ensuring every mother has the opportunity to rest and recover while receiving professional care for both herself and her baby. From postpartum meal preparation to newborn care and caregiver management, I dedicated myself to learning every aspect of the business and building the right team. Today, our centre continues to grow, and all five rooms are gradually reaching full occupancy.
Even now, I continue to pursue further education and professional training because I firmly believe that we should never stop learning and improving ourselves.
People often ask me why I work so hard.
My answer has always been simple: I want to take good care of my family.
I believe a woman’s true strength is not measured by how rarely she cries, but by her willingness to keep moving forward for the people she loves, even when life is difficult.
Today, I also hope to give back to society. In my hometown of Pahang, I have begun working with people around me to raise funds and support those in need. I believe that when we have the ability to help, we should contribute whatever we can—whether through financial support or our time and effort.
