More Than Food, I’m Building a Vision

People often ask me why I chose the food business.
My answer has always been the same: because food brings joy.

Joy doesn’t have to come from fine dining or expensive meals. Sometimes, it’s found in a silky plate of Hong Kong-style cheong fun or a comforting bowl of braised pork rice. Seeing someone smile after a long day because of a simple,
well-made meal reminds me that we’re not just serving food—we’re creating moments of comfort in everyday life.

That belief is what led my husband and me to start Max Hope. Many people see us as a restaurant company. I see us differently. My vision is to build a platform for everyday food brands.

To me, a great brand isn’t measured by the number of outlets it owns. It’s measured by its ability to grow, to be replicated, and to remain meaningful over time. We build brands around everyday meals—food people enjoy again and again—supported by strong positioning, consistent quality, and systems that can scale. We don’t chase trends. We create brands that become part of people’s daily lives.

At the heart of Max Hope is one simple belief: sharing. Sharing good food. Sharing business success. Sharing entrepreneurial
opportunities. I believe the best businesses don’t succeed alone. They create value for everyone around them. When customers enjoy our food, employees grow with us, investors share in our progress, and suppliers thrive alongside us—
that is the kind of success I want to build.

That’s why I deeply appreciate everyone who contributes to Max Hope. Every customer, every team member, every partner, every supporter. No meaningful brand is ever built by one person alone.

Of course, entrepreneurship comes with setbacks, pressure, and uncertainty. Plans change. Results don’t always come as quickly as we hope. But I’ve learned not to let temporary challenges distract me from where I’m going. Instead, I choose to see every obstacle as a lesson, every setback as part of my growth.

I truly believe that everything happens to shape us into stronger versions of ourselves.

Today, I still wake up excited for each new day. Life is busy, but it is deeply fulfilling because I know that every step brings me closer to the future I’m building.

One of my greatest blessings is walking this journey with my husband. We share the same vision, the same direction, and the same commitment. Growing a dream together has become one of the most meaningful parts of my life.

Looking ahead, I hope Max Hope will become more than a company that creates food brands. I hope it becomes a platform that creates opportunities, nurtures growth, and shares success with many more people. Because I believe a good meal can brighten someone’s day. A great brand can inspire a community. And a meaningful purpose can bring people together for years to come.
