《From Despair to Miracles: A Mother of Three Who Turned Adversity into a New Life》
Hi everyone, I’m Christina Loke. Since I was young, I have always believed that a person may be born ordinary, but should never settle for an ordinary life. Today, I am a real estate team leader with more than 20 years of experience in marketing and sales, including nearly 15 years of hands-on experience in the property industry. I specialise in residential, commercial and industrial properties, while also helping clients with asset planning, cash flow analysis and long-term wealth strategies. Yet behind the achievements people see today lies a journey filled with tears, struggles and moments that tested my faith.
When I was younger, I struggled for years with infertility. Ovulation disorders, abnormal uterine lining and uterine fibroids made becoming a mother feel like an unreachable dream. Countless moments of waiting and disappointment nearly broke my confidence. But I chose not to give up. I continued to believe in God, kept praying, and actively sought treatment. Eventually, at an older maternal age, I welcomed my first child.
But the challenges did not end there. During my second pregnancy, I experienced a molar pregnancy and was forced to undergo chemotherapy and surgery, losing the baby. The doctor told me that having my first child had already been a miracle. Still, I held firmly to my faith: “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” After a year of recovery, I became pregnant again and successfully gave birth to a healthy second child. Later, I was blessed with my third child.
To this day, I remain deeply grateful for the words: “Children are a heritage from the Lord.” (Psalm 127:3) These experiences taught me that the lowest point in life is not necessarily the end. Sometimes, it becomes the turning point from which a new chapter begins.
During the pandemic, the property market was severely affected. As a mother of three, I faced declining income and uncertainty about the future. But after turning 40, I chose not to retreat. Instead, I started again. I learned new technology, embraced digital marketing, and led my team through a transformation.
Within just two months, our team achieved more than RM18 million in sales, and I once again earned the title of individual sales champion. That moment strengthened one belief in me: what truly limits us is often not our age, but the moment we stop growing.
Today, I hold firmly to one mission — real estate is not merely about buying and selling; it is also a responsibility. I am committed to helping families achieve wealth growth and greater security in life through proper asset allocation. At the same time, I integrate renovation resources to create a one-stop service that helps property owners enhance property value, improve rental returns and optimise cash flow, allowing every asset to reach its greatest potential.
Life’s trials are not meant to defeat us, but to shape us into stronger people. As the Bible says, “Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.” (Psalm 126:5)
If a mother who has experienced illness, the loss of a child and fear of technology can still walk out of her lowest moments through faith, perseverance and learning, then you can too.
Because of faith, I persevere. Because of growth, I break through. Because I believe, the future is filled with possibilities.
