My professional journey began in makeup artistry and personal image design. Driven by a passion for aesthetics, I continuously upskilled, pursued advanced training, and earned professional qualifications, dedicating over a decade to the industry. This journey not only built my expertise but also instilled in me resilience, patience, and unyielding self-discipline. However, I eventually realized that life should not be confined to a single path—so I decided to step outside my comfort zone and challenge myself anew.
Later, I joined a Hong Kong-based educational marketing company, gaining direct exposure to Hong Kong’s business intellect, marketing strategies, and corporate training sector. Through telemarketing and course sales, I was also introduced to personal growth and motivational education. This experience opened my eyes to a whole new perspective and taught me a vital lesson: a person’s potential should never be limited by past experience. As long as you are willing to learn, you can continuously unlock new possibilities in life.
While working with the educational marketing company, I embarked on another entrepreneurial venture by launching a hair and beauty salon. Just as I thought a promising chapter was unfolding, the unexpected Movement Control Order (MCO) struck merely three weeks after our opening. All plans were disrupted, and business operations came to a halt. Despite persevering for a period, I was ultimately forced to close the business, suffering significant financial losses.
That experience taught me profoundly that life rarely goes entirely according to plan. Yet, falling down does not mean the story has ended. By chance, I noticed a former colleague transition into the real estate industry. I asked myself, “Why not give it a try?” With that, I started from scratch once again and stepped into an entirely unfamiliar territory.
Evolving from a complete novice with virtually no real estate background to an independent agent capable of closing multi-million-ringgit property projects has been far from easy. I continuously studied the market, engaged with clients, embraced rejection, and repeatedly broke through my own limitations. At the same time, I actively expanded my career horizon and currently manage businesses across two distinct sectors, steadily moving toward a diversified business portfolio.
Reflecting on this journey, I have experienced going from having everything to losing it all, and rebuilding from nothing once again. I have fallen, and I have picked myself back up. Sometimes, just as I find my footing, new challenges arise.
Yet, life has taught me that the goal is not to avoid failure, but to learn how to rise again after falling. I share my story not to showcase my success, but to empower anyone who feels lost, faces adversity, or begins to doubt themselves. Please do not let a single setback define your capabilities, nor let a delayed result make you abandon the dreams in your heart.
Embrace challenges courageously, believe in your potential, and stay true to the path you genuinely wish to pursue. The journey may be longer than expected, and you may stumble along the way, but as long as you are willing to stand up again and press forward, life holds infinite possibilities.
