Hello everyone, I am Ann Liew.
I came from a humble background with limited formal education and entered society at a young age. I once worked grueling overtime in factories to earn more money, and worked at restaurants just to save on daily meals. Poverty taught me early on that if I wanted to change my life, I could only rely on myself. Unwilling to accept a mediocre fate and driven by a strong desire to build my own business, I spent all my hard-earned savings in 2004 to travel to Singapore to study aesthetics, determined to master a craft that would take me further in life.
In 2010, hailing from Ipoh, I arrived in Johor Bahru all by myself to start my entrepreneurial journey. In an era without family support, professional networks, or social media, I poured all my savings into renting a second-floor shopfront and spent thousands to set up a massive signboard. To every client who walked through my doors, I gave my absolute dedication and sincerity. Over the past decade, after relocating three times, I finally purchased a shopfront of my own. Even more meaningful is having the opportunity to run this business side by side with my daughter, sharing this shared passion.
Many people ask me what my greatest achievement is. To me, it is certainly not about how much money I have earned. As a single mother, my proudest accomplishment is raising my three children into adulthood and supporting them all through university graduation.
In my career, I have earned a trust that goes far beyond simple business transactions. Within the quiet sanctuary of the treatment room, I nurture skin while listening to hearts. A client who had fallen into depression after the sudden loss of her husband once shared with me that whenever she felt overwhelmed, coming to my space always brought her solace. In that moment, I realized that my hands do not merely make women feel beautiful—they also offer companionship and the strength to rebuild when facing life’s lowest points.
