Hello everyone, I’m Vivian.
Many people think retirement as a finish line and it is the moment life slows down. But to me, it is a golden launchpad and a moment of awakening. It was a gentle, powerful realisation that everything I’ve lived through, everything I’ve learned, and everything I’ve survived was preparing me for a new chapter with deeper meaning.
After decades in corporate leadership, I realised that wisdom doesn’t retire. Strength doesn’t retire. Purpose doesn’t retire. The experiences that shaped me with the long nights, the tough decisions, the people I guided, the teams I built became a reservoir I could finally pour back into the world.
During the pandemic, I saw many SMEs struggle simply because they lacked structure and there is a need to reorganise their workforce to stay afloat. I knew I could help. My expertise in Corporate Governance, Talent Mapping, and Strategic Transformation wasn’t just a skillset but a lifeline. So I founded my HR consultancy, not out of ambition, but out of compassion. And to honour my own growth, I recently completed my Executive MBA in Future Ready Business Leadership with the Chartered Management Institute, UK. It is never too late to sharpen your skills.
Retirement may close a door, but it should never close your spirit. One of my dreams was to obtain my real estate license and my first milestone was selling more than 70 condominiums in 6 months. It wasn’t the achievement that moved me but it was the reminder that age does not dim your fire and only refusing to learn does.
This is why I champion women. I want women to stop shrinking themselves into roles, labels, or expectations. We are not defined by age, marital status, job titles, or society’s timelines. We are defined by our courage to rise, to learn, to rebuild, and to choose ourselves.
And if I could choose the most important ability a woman should possess, it is this:
the ability to reinvent herself with a brave heart.
A woman who can transform emotionally, mentally, spiritually and becomes unshakeable. Reinvention is not about changing who you are; it is about returning to yourself with more truth, more clarity, and more love.
Today, I’m charting new territory in Senior Co‑Living and driving community service projects with Rotary Clubs and organisations that share the same mission. True maturity isn’t about slowing down; it’s about stepping into the most authentic version of yourself. Retirement isn’t the shrinking of life — it is the freedom to choose what truly matters.
