From Humble Beginnings to Global Women Empowerment
I was born and raised in Penang, Malaysia, in a family that instilled in me the value of resilience — especially during times when resources were limited. I didn’t grow up with privilege, but I was surrounded by strength, perseverance, and a deep belief that hard work could create a better future.
Education was never something we took for granted. I pursued a Master of Business Administration not just to earn a degree, but to break barriers — for myself, and for the women who would follow.
The journey was far from easy and struggled with self-doubt in environments where women’s voices were often overlooked. Balancing personal responsibilities with professional ambition was a constant and exhausting reality. But I made a decision: I would not allow these challenges to define or limit me.
My awakening didn’t happen in one moment — it came from a shift in mindset. I stopped waiting for permission and began creating opportunities — for myself and for others.
Over the years, I built a career spanning the banking industry and healthcare sector. Today, I am proud to serve as Chief Marketing Officer at MJ Health & Medical Wellness. In this role, I’ve contributed to generating over RM 500 million in revenue while championing innovation and preventive care for more than two decades.
Being crowned 3rd runner-up in Mrs. Malaysia Universe 2018 was more than a personal milestone — it became a platform. A platform for every woman who has ever felt unseen or unheard. That experience gave me a global voice, and I now use that voice to advocate for women’s empowerment, preventive health, and holistic wellness.
Through my leadership at MJ Health and my pageant platform, I continue to mentor, uplift, and open doors for the next generation of women leaders. Because where I stand today is proof of how far we, as women, can go — not because the journey is easy, but because we are determined to rise.
My message is simple:
Your story is your strength.
Rise with it. Speak through it.
And share your light with the world.
Even after the darkest of storms, there will be a rainbow — a sign of hope and renewal. Let us be that rainbow for others.
