When I Live Authentically, Life Flourishes

Hello, I’m Li Yifei.

Over the years, my life has taken me through many different roles—from being a television host and a full-time homemaker, to studying psychology and Diamond Wisdom, and eventually founding Yiqi Shangdao and developing the Five Pillars of Happiness framework. Along the way, I have had the privilege of supporting more than 14,000 participants in their learning and personal growth.

Through these experiences, I have come to understand something deeply:

A woman truly rises not by becoming a better version of who others expect her to be, but by discovering who she really is—and having the courage to live as herself.

There was a time when I believed happiness came from what I had on the outside.

I worked hard to be a good wife and mother, and to build a respectable identity and a stable life. But when I went through challenges in my relationships, I began to look at my life—and myself—more deeply.

Years later, I came to understand that a fulfilling relationship requires two individuals who are willing to grow, mature, and take responsibility for themselves.

It was during that difficult chapter of my life that I encountered Geshe Michael Roach’s teachings on Diamond Wisdom.

They led me to a new understanding: when challenges arise in life, I can begin by looking within and asking what I can learn, change, and take responsibility for. Rather than waiting for circumstances or other people to change, I could begin with my own growth.

That realization became a turning point.

I devoted myself wholeheartedly to learning and putting these principles into practice. I travelled to the United States to further my studies, challenging myself through courses, assignments, and examinations conducted entirely in English. I also organised study groups, creating opportunities to learn, practise, and share alongside others.

As I continued to grow, I was able to rebuild important relationships in my life. At the same time, I began to discover more clearly where my strengths and sense of purpose lay.

I came to realise that living authentically does not mean simply doing whatever we want. It means discovering where our passions, our strengths, and our ability to create value for others come together.

Looking back, every chapter of my life had prepared me for the path I am on today.

My years as a television host developed my ability to communicate and connect with people. Learning English opened doors for me to study beyond my own environment and broaden my perspective. My experience in training taught me how to support others as they navigate their own growth.

What once seemed like separate and unrelated experiences eventually came together to form one meaningful path.

When I no longer needed external recognition to validate my worth, and instead began spending my days doing work that I genuinely believed in, loved, and found meaningful, I knew I was finally living in alignment with who I truly am.

Today, through Yiqi Shangdao and the Five Pillars of Happiness framework, I hope to support more women in creating greater well-being in their health, relationships, finances, and inner lives—and, most importantly, in reconnecting with their own strength.

Because I believe that when a woman changes, the impact extends far beyond herself.

As she becomes more grounded, fulfilled, and empowered, that transformation can positively influence her family and the people around her.

To me, this is what it truly means for a woman to rise: to have the courage to listen to her own voice, make conscious choices for herself, and take responsibility for the life she wants to create.

When we have the courage to live authentically, life begins to flourish.
