I am from a small town called Sikamat in Malaysia.
There are six siblings in my family, and I am the fourth child.
From a young age, I was pushed forward by fate.
Because my mother is Thai, she had to leave us due to visa issues,
and I experienced separation and longing with no power to change it.
My father was reckless—addicted to drugs and women—
and he never fulfilled his responsibilities as a father.
During those years, my siblings and I were cared for by my grandfather.
But his methods were very traditional, even extreme.
I experienced domestic abuse, beaten until I was covered in bruises,
without ever knowing what I had done wrong.
I was scared and hurt, but had no choice but to endure—
and it was during that time that I learned to be “strong.”
But that strength was not bravery;
it was forced—
when no one protected me, I had to hold up the whole world alone.
I once thought life was just about enduring.
Childhood trauma, family instability, being bullied at school,
and later, challenge after challenge in adulthood
made me ask myself, countless nights:
“Why do all the hardships fall on me?
Am I really not worthy of love?”
But life’s turning points always arrive when we least expect them.
I refused to accept a life defined by struggle.
I took on every job I could just to change my fate.
In the past five years, I explored opportunities in the online industry,
but still found that when I stopped, my income stopped too.
Until one day, I realized—
I could actually impact lives with my life.
My story was no longer shameful—
it became my strength.
So I began to learn.
I learned about emotions, communication, leadership,
and most importantly, self-love.
And I finally realized:
I am not broken; I am reborn.
The moment I shifted from “victim” to “creator”
was the moment I truly awakened.
Now, I choose to turn my darkness into light for others.
I heal with empathy, lead with strength,
and awaken others with my story.
I believe that pain does not define us;
we can choose to begin again—and so can you.
I finally understood:
True strength is steadiness after softness;
it is gentleness shaped by experience;
it is turning hardship into light,
and then using that light to guide others.
After my mother’s passing, I rose from the depths stronger than before.
I healed myself, let go of the past,
and forgave my father—
and ultimately, forgave life itself for all the tests it gave me.
Now, my father pours all his love into my child.
In that moment, I realized:
Love can transform a person,
and love can heal everything.
Every woman who has walked through storms
deserves to be held with warmth.
And I want to tell every sister:
No matter how painful your past was,
it can be transformed into strength.
Every hardship you go through
will become your foundation and your tenderness.
You are not defeated,
because you were born to shine.
I share my story not because I am extraordinary,
but because I know—
when you walk out of your darkness,
you will be prouder than anyone else.
