A HARVEST OF GRACE: A JOURNEY LIKE A BLOOMING LOTUS

Every woman is born into this world with a sacred mission. My journey has not been a smooth path strewn with roses, but rather one shaped by quiet transitions, years of proud devotion, and brave turning points where I had to start over from zero. As a woman of faith walking with God, I look back on every past hardship with deep gratitude, knowing that every detour and trial is part of His perfect plan and sovereign care. If there is an image that beautifully reflects my faith and philosophy of life, it is the lotus—a plant that rises from the depths of dark mud, yet at the perfect moment, reaches toward the light to bloom magnificently, offering the world a pure and irresistible fragrance.

The memory of my independence began at a very early stage. At the age of 13, a time when most children are still sheltered and coddled in their parents’ arms, I packed my bags and left my biological family to begin a new chapter as an adopted child in an intellectual family in Hanoi, Vietnam. This early independence felt like a cold autumn breeze, yet the ancient capital and that intellectual environment did not break me. Instead, it quietly nurtured within me a solid foundation of thought and a resilient spirit, like a young seed quietly taking root deep into the soil, preparing its inner strength for the greater shifts ahead.

At 28, I once again chose to step out of my comfort zone. Leaving my beloved Hanoi behind, I set foot in a foreign land—Malaysia—to build a family. Facing language barriers, cultural differences, and the profound loneliness of an immigrant, God placed a flame of courage in my heart so that I would not settle for a passive, quiet life. I threw myself into the path of a social activist. The next ten years—from age 28 to 43—became the most vibrant yet grueling period of my youth. I chose to stand by vulnerable workers in Malaysian factories. Entering this journey full of intense pressure and sensitive hardships, I had to learn to swallow my own tears to become a pillar of support for others, fighting firmly to earn a tight handshake or the relieved, peaceful smile of a fellow compatriot when justice and dignity were finally restored.

However, life is always a series of brutal tests to examine our faith. Following those ten years of community devotion, I entered the business world and built my own company. Yet, in the midst of pouring my heart into it, a severe downturn struck, and I had to watch the clientele I had dearly cherished gradually slip away. Standing at the peak and suddenly having to watch my career vanish was a suffocating pain, as if being submerged into the dark mud. In those moments when I felt most solitary, my faith in God kept me standing. I realized that what was lost was merely a preparation, a necessary pause before a greater harvest in life.

For the nature of a lotus is that it is never assimilated by the mud, and a woman forged in the storm will always find a way to be reborn. As one door closed, I chose to take a step back to embrace myself and life with greater compassion. I realized that my greatest asset through every collapse was never an external title or superficial glamour, but a refined soul and an empathetic heart that remained fully intact in its fragrance. I continued to serve as a Social Compliance Auditor, a secretary for a charitable organization, and poured my love into a wellness lifestyle through my brand, G-Harvest.

With G-Harvest, I dedicate my entire passion to handcrafted whole-blossom lotus flower tea. Every day, watching each lotus bloom completely and release its sweet aroma in a warm teacup, I see the reflection of my own life: one must walk through the deep mud and survive the lowest notes of destiny to offer the purest and most peaceful fragrance to the world. It is truly a “Harvest” of Grace and healing that God has bestowed upon me.

Coming to She Rises, I bring the story of a woman who has never stopped reaching for the light, driven by unwavering faith and inner strength. To all women out there standing at the crossroads or picking up the broken pieces of life: Do not fear the dark mud, and do not fear the times you have to start over from zero. For when you place your faith in the right hands, it is from the deepest and darkest trials that your life will bloom in its proudest, most magnificent, and fragrant form.
