From Seeking Validation to Becoming My Family’s Strength

Hello everyone, I’m Tracy Lee.

As a child, I struggled academically and grew up with very little encouragement. I was sensitive, insecure, and constantly sought validation from others. It took me many years to realize that what truly transforms a person’s life is not the applause of others, but the courage to believe in oneself. Those early experiences taught me empathy and inspired me to turn my own wounds into a source of comfort and strength for others.

Later, I entered the real estate industry and, under the guidance of my husband, Norman, ventured into the highly specialized field of industrial real estate. This sector demands extensive knowledge of land planning, legal regulations, government policies, and corporate expansion strategies, where every detail matters. To earn my clients’ trust, I committed myself to continuous learning, sought guidance from industry experts, and worked closely with countless entrepreneurs and property developers.

Over time, I realized that I was not simply selling factories or land—I was helping businesses create space for growth. Every successful transaction has the potential to shape the future of a family, strengthen a team, and contribute to the growth of an entire business. The rejections and misunderstandings I encountered along the way strengthened my resilience. I have learned that true professionalism is the ability to remain dependable and trustworthy, even under the greatest pressure.

However, the greatest transformation in my life came when I became a mother.

When my younger daughter was diagnosed with Microtia, a congenital condition affecting the development of her ear and resulting in hearing impairment, my world seemed to come to a standstill. I cried through countless nights, yet every morning I chose to smile as I held her in my arms—because I am her mother, and I am her greatest source of strength.

At that moment, I made a promise to myself: the love I did not fully receive growing up would be the love I would give my daughter unconditionally. I wanted her to grow up feeling secure, knowing that her worth would never depend on other people’s approval.

My faith has also given me the strength to rise again through life’s storms. By sharing my story in She Rises, I am not seeking sympathy. Rather, I hope to connect with families who are facing similar challenges while exploring better medical solutions around the world for children with Microtia. If my journey can help even one mother feel less alone, then my courage has served its purpose.

Today, I no longer live according to other people’s expectations. I am a mother my children can be proud of, a wife who brings peace and confidence to her family, and a trusted industrial real estate professional.

To me, a woman’s greatest success is not measured solely by her achievements, but by her ability to remain a source of strength for her family and a blessing to others, even in the midst of life’s storms. The greatest limitations we face are rarely imposed by others—they come from whether we are willing to believe that our lives hold limitless possibilities.
