If I was to describe my life in two key themes, I would say that one half has been about continuously striving for excellence in my career, while the other half has been about quietly nurturing and protecting my family.

In 2017, I was appointed to the management team of the Kuala Lumpur Revolving Restaurant as a Company Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role marked a significant step in my professional journey, allowing me to support my husband as he advanced into higher levels of corporate leadership. In addition, I was actively involved in the Amway wellness business and have since shifted my focus to managing Kajang Satay House, a restaurant business that carries forward our entrepreneurial aspirations. Over the decades, my husband and I have shared the responsibility of building both our family and our career.

In business, I am not the person standing on the front line, but I am the one ensuring that the system operates smoothly behind the scenes. With my background in accounting, I oversee financial structures, cash flow management, and risk control. Meanwhile, my husband leads the team, expands market opportunities, and drives business growth. He moves the business forward from the front, while I provide support from behind the scenes. Together, we fulfill different roles while working toward the same vision.

What has truly sustained us throughout the years, however, is our family.

My husband and I did not begin as a perfectly synchronized team. Like many couples, we experienced differences in communication and perspectives. Over time, we learned to sit down together, discuss challenges openly, seek understanding, and make adjustments. After my husband embraced the Christian faith, he became more open, gentle, and willing to communicate. He also became more attentive to our children’s thoughts and feelings, bringing greater warmth and harmony into our family relationships.

We have four children, ranging in age from 25 to 33. Through the years, I have come to realize that family is not about management or control—it is about love, presence, and companionship. While my husband focuses on growing the business, I provide stability at home. When he feels overwhelmed, I offer reassurance. When important decisions need to be made, I help organize thoughts and perspectives. We do not seek to control one another; instead, we support and strengthen each other.

Throughout our journey, we have faced cash flow challenges, economic downturns, and periods when business projects stalled. There were moments of anxiety and uncertainty, yet we never considered giving up. We understood that as long as we remained united, there would always be a way forward. Often, what enables people to overcome difficult circumstances is not that the situation suddenly improves, but that they refuse to let go of one another.

During my lowest moments, I chose to bring my burdens before God, surrendering my worries through prayer and finding renewed strength in His presence. When my heart became steady again, the path ahead gradually became clearer.

I have also drawn great inspiration from the Bible, particularly Proverbs 31:10–31. It begins with these words:

“A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.” (Proverbs 31:10)

It also describes her as:

“She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.” (Proverbs 31:17–18)

These verses have taught me that true virtue is not measured solely by capability or achievement. Rather, it is reflected in how a person brings order, balance, and purpose to family, career, and faith.

Today, I continue to make decisions in the business world while safeguarding love and unity within my family. My career has helped me grow, my family has made me whole, and my faith has given me unwavering strength.

I am Datin Low.

And my hope is that every woman will recognize this truth: You are more than a role you play. You have the ability to shine through love, strength, and faith—embracing all that you are meant to be.
